It all started in 2000, when my son was born and I was beginning my sophomore year in college. My parents played a huge role in my ability to graduate from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2005. They provided childcare, financial assistance and encouragement while I worked part-time and went to school full-time. It was during this time that I understood that there are many teen mothers that do not have that same encouragement and support. As a result, they struggle to complete their educational goals, which greatly impacts their ability to support their family.
Gloria's Gifts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded 2015. Gloria's Gifts helps others pursue education (H.O.P.E.). Teen mothers can apply for membership into the H.O.P.E. Program (9th grade-12th grade) and/or H.O.P.E. Academy (12th grade - college).
